Textile and garment exports grew rapidly in the first quarter, outpacing textile exports, according to data from China's General Administration of Customs. From January to March 2021, the accumulative export of textile and garment reached US $65.1 billion, up 43.8 percent, among which the export of textile reached US $31.81 billion, up 40.3 percent, and the export of garment reached US $33.29 billion, up 47.7 percent. In March, textile and garment exports reached US $18.92 billion, up 22.6 percent, of which textile exports reached US $9.67 billion, up 8.4 percent, and garment exports reached US $9.25 billion, up 42.1 percent.
